Sony BDP S760 wireless

I have been bought this excellent BRP for my birthday and just plugged it in.

Have connected to my home wireless network this got me wondering - is this feature just for downloading the latest firmware updates or has the machine got the capability to do other stuff, eg stream iplayer to my TV?

PS if anyones got any pointers on best settings etc that would also be good.

It also allows the player to access web-based BD-Live additional content where the disc you are playing supports this.

BD 2.0 discs can access extra content via the internet, so you can use the wireless connection for that (not that it is very exciting IMHO). I don't believe you can access the iplayer - you can if you have a Wii or certain freesat boxes.

...Though there are plans from most major manufacturers to allow access to a wider range of (non-disc-related) streaming content via upcoming TVs, Blu-ray players and the like.
