Could someone (preferably the team in WHF) please inform me as to which speaker cable is best....the QED Silver Anniversary XT or the Chord Silver Carnival

I can't decide which to pick because although WHF say the chord gets 5 stars so too does the QED both also get rave reviews.

Has anyone else out there auditioned these two and made a choice??

Also can anyone recommend a good HDMI run of 10m -12m

Are the active filter HDMI better than the standard???

Thanks

It is all down to personal choice - we favour the Chord cable over the QED but there will be plenty who will disagree.

As for the Active HDMI, yes there is a difference even more so at 10m+

I've got both of these cables and one thing to take into consideration is the size of the Chord. It is a very chunky cable in comparison to the QED. Soundwise they both get 5 stars here so if you are after a more discreet cable go with the QED. I can't personally comment on the sound difference between the 2 yet as I haven't set up my new sytem with the Chord cables.
