Hi everyone,

I have owned a Marantz PM66SE KI Signature amplifier for many years without any problems.

However, yesterday I discovered one of the channels wasn’t delivering anything like the correct volume (almost nothing).

I was wondering whether any of you knowledgable people could kindly offer me any advice, and possible recommendations please.

I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your help and assistance.

Sounds like it needs serviced by someone competent. If you watch some of the Mend It Mark videos on YouTube you'll get an idea of the sort of things that could have gone wrong and the sort of person who could fix it for you.

So did I 👍
Great amp - apart from the 3 mini signal switches that can cause trouble once they get contaminated.
For a start, the 2 tape monitor switches take priority over anything selected by the rotary input selector.
So even though you're not monitoring a tape output - all of your signals necessarily pass through both of those switches before amplification.
And the 'source direct' switch - ironically there to ensure signal purity - can cause more problems than if it wasn't there at all.

The contacts of those switches (and the rotary controls) benefit from cleaning and lubrication.
For that purpose there's nothing better than 'Servisol Super 10'.

If you had a 'service' you'd get little more than a few blasts of that in appropriate places.
It works like magic to clear intermittency, crackles and distortion.

Not saying that's definitely your cure, but based on my experience it's likely.
