Panasonic DMR-BS 850 /750 Blu-Ray - Image Quality vrs inbuilt Panasonic TV tuner

Hello, I've just bought one of these (ex-demo and cheap!) and connected it last night.

Until I get another twin cable I still have 1 satellite feed to the TV and the other to the 850. I switch from TV to HDMI (850 feed) on BBC HD the HDMI picture has lower contrast and does not look as good as the TV freesat tuner. There could be instructions lurking within the user manual for picture settings but I was expecting the picture to be identical.

Any suggestions on why I see a difference?

Just to say I sorted the problem.

I didn't realise I had to match the TV picture settings for HDMI 1 input to what I had for TV. I thought TV controlled everything - anyhow both inputs now identical.
