I always find the best way to connect the money box to the plasma is by turning it on and then go and take a shower. Rush downstairs whilst dripping wet still and get your screwdriver and lean over the plasma from the opposite side of where the money box should go. Try to drip as much water as you can whilst doing this. Feel free to drink some lager from a can as you do it - and remember to shake the can first..........

The replacement tv is here, a pioneer pdp lx5080w got it second hand but its new as it is an open box item cost £2,800 seems to be perfect but I do need to connect the buy as you view money box as the hire company is due on Friday to collect their money, as long as the box is connected on the side I think I will get away with it, I AM NOT GOING TO WIRE THE BOX TO THE TV, just make it look like it is and put money in ready for them to collect so can anyone tell me the best way to fix the money box to the tv please.
Yup, this is a wind up. First you are so poor that you can't afford anyone to fix it, now you just borrow £2800 from Your family to buy another Pioneer. Sorry, but I am not buying it. Why did you not borrow the money to fix the TV? Would have saved your family thousands.

Now you know he'll be back in a moment, VA, with a response saying that you're being cruel to mock and asking how you wire a coin-operated laundrette slot into a Blu-ray player...

I think we really need some pictures of the attempted repair.

Dam thats where I am going wrong, I thought the slot in the front of the player was for notes. No wonder it won't accept any disks. I should of just stuck to the coins

Also can anyone tell me if chocolate coins would work ?

Very big chocolate ones would probably work, but you might have to turn them over to play the other side.

This one's only 10cm, but should fit a standard 12cm disc-drawer OK

Edit: Scrub that - these will be perfect.
Andrew I think thats a little complicated, Amore straight forword way would be to on a large pair of green wellies get hold of your pet sheep, put their back legs into your wellies and shout mint sauce mint sauce. works every time I"m told. Am too cool to try it myself though.

See, this reminds me of my childhood on the East coast of Scotland. There was Dave the Carpenter, Tony the Bricklayer, Gary the Ironmonger..........and then there was me - you put wellies on one sheep...............stays with you for life, mate.

I salute Vanman's attempts at attaching things to a TV - after all they aren't very practical when not in use. I myself have screwed in some hooks onto the bezel to hang some tea cups on. Even better, I nailed a shelf to the top on to which I have carefully arranged a small water feature and my collection of 'Beatrix Potter rabbits in unusual poses'. Fabulous.

Someone gonna try this you know. Then they will ask if they can sue somebody for being given the wrong advice. Then again perhaps it would be OK in a Choc-ray player.

That just what I need. Another question though...... at the moment my picture looks a bit "sweet" would using a dark chocolate disc take the edge off the sweetness for a more balanced picture ?

Also if you have a juddery picture could you use a Galaxy chocolate disc ? would the smoothness of the chocolate have an effect on the juddering ?

Hi,

You need to watch when buying these choc discs that they are the originals - I got one that was actually a Wagon Wheel which had been squished in the jewel case - almost broke my player. Of course, I had no comeback. It really takes the biscuit how these guys get away with selling such Flake-y discs...SpiceWeasel - I heard you can use Viscount - they return the player to mint condition.

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

Just tried one of those in the cd player in my Bugatti Veyron. The display went a bit funny, then a bit of smoke came out of it. I lent close to the slot on the cd player, sniffed for a few seconds, then when I woke up again, thought that I had better get the chocolate out. Anyway, after taking the dashboard off with my trusty Philips screwdriver (and a junior hacksaw for the awkward bits) I managed to get the cd out. Now I am really pi**ed with you Andrew, it has melted inside the player! I hope that you are going to repair it for me.
P.S. the dashboard didn't fit very well, so I managed to put the dash from a Golf in it. A bit of double sided sticky tape and jobs a good'un! All I need to do now is strap another Audi v8 to the W16 already there. That should improve the midrange power no end.

Except for chocolate CDs, which might not quite make the full circuit
Suppose you could always take the CD player apart and put a stronger motor in it. While your at it change the transformer,dis-assemble the laser and reset its focal length and then should be O.K for choccie biccy's.

Classic troll behaviour. Start a discussion with a ridiculous topic, and then when people laugh or disbelieve you, complain how nasty everyone else is.

Just remember if you had taken the original advice in the first place, you would not now have a Knackered TV.
