Good question and it reveals how pointless and subjective ranking albums is because I end up copping out on my answer 😆

All I can say for sure is that my top four PJ albums are Vs. Ten, Yield and Vitalogy (I can't really count Unplugged as an album, but it IS wonderful). It might even be in that order at the moment, but may well change if you ask on a different day.

I just recently got an original German pressing of Yoshimi on translucent red wax, which sounds pretty amazing to me. Which version is this?

I think this one is a 2019 re-pressing. Sounds good, but probably better ones out there

Did not hesitate to rush out and grab this when a local record shop announced a restock. I'm not organised enough to have a formal wishlist of records, but if I did then this would certainly have been on it. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

It's, sort of, their only album. However it is Ian McCulloch and Will sergeant from Echo & the Bunnymen before they reformed and made Evergreen.

I've returned from a week in Scotland with about 15 of my stepdad s records. I'm really not sure how many will make my main collection and how many will be stashed away, gathering dust.

First album I'm testing out is this one by Genesis.

Hmm. Yes, that Genesis album will not make my rotation. In contrast, I will be keeping this, even if not listening to it very regularly.

It's a "quadrophonic" version of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. My stepdad's varied career saw him involved in the production of some of these quadrophonic experiments.
