Am I correct in thinking that you have some Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones.
What do you think of them and which impedance are they80 or 250 ohms.
Do you think they would work well with an Arcam FMJ A19 and Audiolab 8200CD

LOL... At work, earning a living!!

I've got the 250 ohm DT770PRO and I love them. Quite analytical sounding but never less than musical at the same time and they seem easy enough to drive having tried them with a good range of different sources. I also have some Sennhesier HD595s and I slightly favour the Beyers. For a closed back design they manage to sound pleasingly open.

When I had the A18, the Beyers worked very well with it. The Arcams have good headphone stages IMO.

Hi Matthew thanks for your help, you have helped me make up my mind to get the DT770 Pro.
I will probably buy the 80 ohm version as I prefer the straight lead.
Sorry that you have to work on Saturday, I am retired and no longer work any day.
But obviously we retired folks need younger people to work and pay NHI contributions to pay our pensions.
