Hi all,

I want to put all my media i.e. movies (legal before you ask!), photo's and movies and a central device and send them round the house.

I want to do this over ethernet though rather than HDMI connections.

All my TV's have wired networked ports so is it just a case of plugging the lot together via a switch and publishing them DLNA or something?

Does anyone have a recommended device for doing this? There are so many devices out there I dont know what will suit my requirements. I'd like to have the device with as many output options as possible i.e. MKV, avi etc (Apple TV seems quite limited).

If all your tellys are on the network already and are DLNA certified then a NAS should do the trick :)

Hope that helps

I use a windows home server from tranquil (brought bare bones and added HDD and RAM myself etc).

Use it to serve content to PS3, numerous laptops and home thearte PC (Music, Photo's, Video's), Squeezebox & Revo Axis (Music)

Also backs up all PC

A QNAP NAS would be a good option as well. Comes with a twonky media DLNA compliant media server
