I am not going to enter into yet another mains cable debate. They do infuriate me. But. Fitted £25 silver mains cable to my Sky box (Ebay). SD immediate improvement. HD cleaner. Sound ? Maybe.

Definitely going to spend a little to upgrade other mains cable.

Why an improvement? No idea. As a retired Physisist I would have bet money that it made no difference. A/B test confirmed.

Sorry disbelievers - I was one until today.

Really sorry.

Cheers

Yep, I use Chord Power Chord on my Sky box and there was a definite improvement in PQ!

It's your money, so you have the right to waste it chasing fantasies. Better spent in donating to charities, in my opinion of course.

Wasn't aware it was an either/or, or are we now suggesting that those who spend money on cables are in some way selfish and uncharitable?

If this thread starts going round the same old well-worn tracks, as it seems to be about to – thanks, max – then its days are numbered.

No, that's just your twist. I'm just saying there is benefit in donating to charities.

i think that altering the balance of the chemicals of the air my room, air through which the digital data travels, is just as likely to improve the performance of my hifi as switching one copper cable for another. at least something changed in my example so why is it any less plausible?
