I currently connect my player to a sony x4500 tv via hdmi ixos 658 and for audio via a pioneer vsx-1016 via coaxial or optical - lip sync is quite a way out regardless of coaxial or optical connection but sound is fine if it goes through the tv only via hdmi.
My other equipment including my toshiba hddvd player and PS3 have no audio problems with optical connection via the pioneer amp.
Is my player faulty or is there a compatibility problem with the amp - help!!
