Leema Tucana v Chord pre/power combo

Hi

Has anyone compared a Leema Tucana II with a Chord Prima/Mezzo 140 combination? I'm wondering whether the Chord pairing is an upgrade from the Tucana (it should be for the price) or just a different sound characteristic, or neither?

I have not enjoyed Chord amps when I've heard them....too forward and analytical to these old ears.

I have not heard the Tucana, but given the feedback that I've read, it would be my choice by default.

I can't help more than that....sorry.

I'm not much help has I haven't had the pleasure with either. What I will say is I don't know of many amps that are as versatile with speaker matching than the Leemas, assuming the Tucana has the same tonal qualities as the Pulse.
