LCD Advice needed

Can someone please give me some advice on two things ?

I'm going to buy a 40" - 42" Tv and have narrowed my options down to these 2 - Sony Kdl40v3000 and Toshiba 40f355. I will be using the tv with sky(sd), PS3 and Blu-Ray. As I can get both tv's for around the same price(£950) which would you recommend?

Secondly, I've just found a Panasonic 42pz70 for the same price as the above tv's. Would this be a better option ?

If it was my money and for Sky sd, i'd get the Panasonic plasma
