TV: Samsung 46A656 from the new 6 series
Fault: whilst watching football the tv keeps juddering badly, with images losing focus too. This IS NOT due to on screen action, it appears to be more of a on and off fault that hasd no obvious connection to movement on screen etc.
As play goes on, the picture will just go out of focus and shake for a second. It is bad enough to be obvious, every 10 seconds approx.

Watching on HD, but turned to SD BBC1 and it was just as bad.

TV is set to normal viewing, with no enhamcements. Showing 1920 x 1080i at 50hz (HD).

Is this a fault I should be reporting, or am I missing something?!

Thanks,

But I have done the upgrade (usb, via samsung website). Last night was so bad, I wondered if it was a boradcast error.
It wasn't just focus, it was screen judder/freeze.
It was also varying between once every 10 seconds approx, to patches where it was longer and even more frequent. Even a close up of the ref, stood still, got the wibbles.
Normal movies, tv, and PS3 blu ray are ok today.

I'm going to call it through. Was hoping it may have been transmission related!

Thanks for the quick reply, though.

Interestingly....

Samsung walked me through some tests, and a dvd of a football match was fine. We narrowed it down to the V+ box (not the tv).

So, either I have broadcast issues, the box is overheating (would this cause the effects mentioned???) or I'm lost.

I called Virgin and their asian call centre was useless and unable to discuss anything technical (eg effects of overheating, or broadcast issues).

I'm going to look at the football tonight, and if I see the same juddering, I'll try cooling the box or just demanding an engineer!

Any other thoughts on cause appreciated.
