me not a fan of Samsung and a great fan of Panasonic ihave owned about 10 Panasonics over the years and owned s-vhs vhs machines by them and a large pro s-vhs camcorder. I did a number of wedding then. Back in the 80s and before that studio with a Canon A1 I currently have ( as most of you know0 a 50 inch 3D Plasma 2012 model Build quality on them is superb better than the rubbish LED/LCD we have now .

Is your LCD really that rubbish, what about picture quality?

The Samsung for me, it will be brighter and have just as good blacks.

I just bought a Philips cheap VA panel and the colours are great. I then bought a Panasonic 42s20 from Facebook for £20 and the colours on the Panasonic are washed out and dull. The blacks are far superior on my Philips the one from 2021 and the brightness is way better than the Panasonic. Just goes to show how far TVs have come.

You can pick up a 2021 Philips 50-inch LED from Costco for £455.

I have worked out why my plasma was looking so bad, it didn’t come with a remote and I just had one delivered and it was on dynamic mode with all the settings maxed out! Looks way better now I can see what you were on about. Never realised Panasonic plasmas were this good. The model number is 42S30.
