How can you tell if your amplifier is high current ?

Mine measures min rms output power 8 ohms 90+90 watts

4 ohms 150w + 150 watts

dynamic power 8/6/4/2 ohms 105/135/190/220 watts

?????? Any ideas ? :?

Why do you want high current - are you going to use it for welding?

One way to tell if your amplifier is likely to have a good current rating, is looking at its power. If it's 90wpc into 8ohms, it 'should' be 180wpc into 4 ohms if the power supply can give out a lot of current. If, like your amp, it goes down to 150, the power supply is falling a bit short, so it's likely that it's not very high on current. It's not a direct indicator of current, but it tells you how likely you are to have a high current amp, I'd guess by comparing specs of other amps, it's around 15A peak, if that.

Just had a quick read of an amp with those exact specs and people were concerned about headroom on even small (relatively) not hard to drive monitors.

It's not a Yamaha A-S1000 is it?
