Help needed before tv arrives

Having just read in the November issue that the Panasonic TH-37 PX70 is a five star plasma and finding it for £594 on the DIXONS web site I took the plunge and bought one. However the magazine says that there is a S-VHS input; I now find that the Panasonic website says that there isn't one. I cannot afford a HD box or DVD at the (starting to rebuild Johnny Cash style with 'one piece ata time' and expected to connect it through the S-VHS socket to my Denon AVR 3082 amp as I currently do with my Sony CRT. Have I ballsed up or am I missing the point ? TV due to be delivered Monday so I may have time to replace

S-video can be input via the AV2 Scart socket. You'll need an S-video-to-Scart cable, like this.

It's got to the point where an S-video socket can be a dealbreaker, perhaps you should click here.
