Well im not exactly a newbie, back in 2000 when i was in my first year in uni i made a sound system out of B&W 603 and a NAD c370. Pretty good sound system, although i wasnt really impressed with bass.
I sold it for half price in 2003 and went on a gap year to australia...
This time, im going to buy that ACOUSTICS 2010 speakers + Marantz PM6003 supposedly best amp in budget range? (300 quid for a budget amp what the hell?)
Anyway, the problem is i never had a dedicated subwoofer before.
I bought "Rel strata 5" subwoofer on ebay last year for 400 quid but it wasnt working and is now sitting in a corner in my flat.
I got about 300 - 500 £ to spend on a subwoofer. CAN I ACTUALLY use a subwoofer with an amp and 2 speakers? -- simply wiering a subwoofer to the same conections where speakers go?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
