HD TV needed BUT not 3D, which one is recommended.

Hi

I have sort of narrowed it down, but I have a question.

I am debating the Samsung UE40D5520 and the Panasonic TX-P42G30, unless there are some recommendations.

Is the above model basically the NON 3D version of the Product of the Year GT30 as this is a superb set, I just have no interest at the moment in 3D?

Out of the 2 is there a clear winner or is that down to my preference?

Personally, I prefer plasmas. Panasonic G30 will be my choice.

Do you know if this is the non 3d version of the GT30? It definitely sounds like it.

On paper, it does look like the 3D version of the GT30, but I can't confirm it.

In my opinion, the G30 is the best non-3D TV in the market today, but as I said, I am biased towards plasmas.
