Harbeth p3esr original version VS p3esr SE..

hi ,
i have nice oppertunity of getting harbeth p3esr SE in used market.. bit afraid regarding any sonic differences between original version and OFC internal cable SE version...
any members experienced between these speakers with any sound quality differences ? if no differences , i will go with SE version..
somebody says there will be sonic differences between 40th anniversary edition and originals due to cross over modifications..
but this one is SE version..it seems only wire change..

The SE models are getting on a bit now, and I’m sure Alan Shaw would declare that the wire cannot affect the sound and it was simply reflecting demand from dealers that they made them.

No, you won’t need any different cable. But, yes, the 40th Anniversary models and the subsequent XD, and latest XD2 models, have different crossovers. Most reports said these later ones were a little brighter, reflecting today’s tastes and the generally high quality of digital sources today.

I only have experience of the original version, and they are great! enjoy.
