Got my Chord CrimsonPlus today...

Came today as the free gift with renewed mag sub. When I've saved enough I'm going to get an rDAC and these will connect it to my Nait5 amp.

In the meantime I'm going to give it a go replacing the QED cable that connects the front pre outs from my Yamaha amp to Nait5 for AV duties... can't wait.

Does it need burn-in?

I'd say so... The one I had (and now selling) sounded a little thin at first (as did the CobraPlus I've got currently) but give them a few hours/days of running and they really come into life

I've got the Merlin Mozart at the moment, but with the addition of a stereo amp as a separate system to my AV one, I'm interested in upgrading a bit.....

How was the Cobraplus in comparison to the Crimsonplus?

Also thinking Chord Chameleon/Merlin Bach interconnects too? (last version Chameleon, not new 'plus' one)........

Just won a set of Chord Cobraplus (New) on ebay for £34 delivered, so I guess I'll see what it's like soon....

The CrimsonPlus cable is very good; a real solid all rounder but the CobraPlus just adds on to that

Deeper, tauter bass; a more rounded and crisp soundstage but with great mid and treble ranges as well. No brightness at all...

Glad it's worked out... Same with me when I wapped the CrimsonPlus for the CobraPlus

It is a superb interconnect
