DLP V LCD Projector

Can anybody help with my projector choice. I was ready to buy the Themescene HD80 untilI I read last month's projector review where the Panasonic PT-AE2000E LCD projector came out on top. Will the LCD projector provide as much punch as a DLP projector - I have a basement room so light polution is not a problem.

Well, our verdict on the Themescene HD80 (4 stars) is that it can now be bettered, while the Panasonic (5 stars) offers stunning picture quality that makes it a steal at the price.

Indeed. The Pana offers much better contrast than the average LCD projector, and the dreaded 'lattice-effect' is noticeable only by its absence.

I've used both of these models at home: both are great, but i'd take the Panasonic for the money. It's easier to live with, too (maybe not in looks, but certainly usability!)
