Digital optical cable or Usb cable???

Hello Mates,

Recently purchased a new laptop(Asus G74sx)

which is having a SPDIF output(Realtek HD audio sound card) combined inside the 3.5mm headphone jack,already own (have to collect from my friends place,so i didnt seen yet.) musical fidelity V-DAC and V-PSU.I like to connect all these to my pioneer lx-01 DVD home theatre system

Now,i like to know,which is the best option to connect my computer to thE V-DAC,through Digital optical cable(with toslink adapter)( if so pls mention some good toslink to 3.5mm adaptor) or through USB cable ??? and do i need another Digital Optical cable to connect the V-DAC to my Home theatre system ??

Your advise and suggestion pls..

Sorry i forgot to ask this question too,

At present i am connecting my laptop to Pioneer Lx-01 dvd system through Hdmi cable,to watch blu-ray movies and musics,my laptop supports NVIDIA HD Audio,by this even Youtube HD videos and musics looks great to me,is there will be any greater improvement in music and surround sound if use the DAC AND V-PSU instead just connecting the compter directly to the HTsystem through QED performance Hdmi cable???
