Creek 4140

Hi

My trusty Creek suddenly stopped powering on.  I switch it on, the transformer hums but the protection unit never clicks/switches on.  There is no green light nothing.  I did notice the other day the green LED momentarily switched on.  after taking it apart i noticed it was built in '92 (chassis Mick, tested by Roger)

Any suggestions as to what it could be and also how cheap the repair would be if parts available?

my dad's creek 4040 (circa 1986 i think) died a few years ago, not sure exactly what went wrong with it but he got it sorted at a hi fi repair shop so there must be parts for old creek stuff floating around! it could be as simple as a few dry connections; most places charge a £30 fee just to look at it though. depends if its worth that £30 to you though?!
