Cable Advice - Mac Book Pro to Pioneer LX5090

Can someone confirm the type of cable I need to connect a MBPro to the LX5090.

Depends on the model of the MB Pro. If it's one of the newer unibody models, you'll need a mini-displayport to HDMI adaptor and a HDMI cable. I think you'll still a separate cable for any audio. If it's one of the older models with a DVI out, you'll need a DVI Male to HDMI cable. You should be able to find one online or on fleabay. Again, you'll need a separate lead for the audio as DVI doesn't carry audio.
