CA 752BD vs Oppo 103D

Hi Guys,

Which player do you think is better. I will only be using it for Bluray playback so the analogues are of little importance to me on the 752BD, but they are the same price at the moment and I need a highend player

752BD has HDMI 2.0

Oppo 103 - Does not have it.

Which is the better bargain right now?

I know it makes sense to buy a cheap player, but I tried that with the BDT700 and I am returning it.

Both are made by the same manufacturer. I would trust Oppo more to provide regular firmware updates than CA.

Not sure why HDMI 2.0 is needed in a 1080p player.

That's the question I'm asking myself.

The only use of HDMI 2.0 that I can imagine is, if you want to connect a 4K media player or camcorder to your blu ray player to make use of its 4K upscaling. It's not something I would ever use, so not important for me.

The 4K streaming would be good if these players supported Netflix 4k.

As of now, only 4K TVs have Netflix 4K app. So CA is unlikely to get it. Hopefully, when 4K blu ray players arrive next year, they will have Netflix 4K.
