Hi Everyone,

I was looking at upgrading my current speaker cable to QED XT40.

I am currently using a Marantz PM6005 amp and Q Acoustics 2020i speakers.

Please could someone confirm if;

1. My amp will accept banana plugs?

2. My speakers will accept banana plugs?

Thanks in advance *biggrin*

Banana plugs means another area of potential deterioration in performance and failure. The purpose of banana plugs is to make it easy to disconnect and swap, which can happen with amplifiers. But connections at speaker end are rarely ever touched. Bare wire is the best.

Stripped ends of the cable are also prone to deterioration but it's the best connection possible IME.
