Arcam Solo,Onkyo 605 and B&W Speakers

Can anyone advise me on the best connections for my set-up.I use the B&W 601's which are connected to my arcam for for Hi-fi listening and the B&W's are also connected to the Onkyo 605 Reciever for 5.1 surround.Because the speakers have 2 sets of binding posts i can connect the amp to one set and the reciever to another! I do this so i only have to have one pair of front speakers but can still appreciate true Hi-fi.Is this the best way to do this?

the way you say you have connected your speakers is Not a good idea as you can blow something up.

... which would work so well if the 605 had preouts, which it hasn't.

The OP's only possibility is either a speaker switchbox, or a lot of cable-swapping.
