I clearly don't understand exchange rates.

With the Blue Note rereleases in just over a week Dexter Gordon - Go will be out.

Amazon USA $18.93

Amazon UK £23.99

Go figure!

Steve, having looked it does seem Hounds of Love has been released several times now.

Is the new release a double then - info sketchy on Amazon and Diverse are not listing it

So Amazon USA can flog it and make a profit for £11 but the UK counterpart needs to charge £24. Clearly the UK wing of Amazon runs a more sophisticated and high-tech office with massive overheads or we're being ripped-off. I wonder how much of this extra profit will find its way to the Dexter Gordon estate? That's the real crime.

Well said.

And in answer to your question, a higher percentage than actually goes to the composer of "Dazed and Confused", Jake Holmes.

I'll leave it there. :)

I feel very fortunate. An ex work colleague handed over 200 records... absolute classics in there.... Although its taken quite a while to clean them all, sleeve them up and get them ready for a spin!

However whilst i was doing all that cleaning i managed to pick up :

Jethro Tull - Stand up - ( the Pop up band version where the band pop up on you as you open up the record)

Led Zep - Led Zep III - (the one you can turn round to change the pictures in the various holes)

David Bowie - Rare - (Features Heroes sung in German and Space Oddity in Italian.... amazing stuff)

Family - Music in a Doll's house - first pressing

Neil Young - Time Fade's Away

Neil Young - Journey through the past - (lovely record packaging)

Arcade Fire - Reflektor

Was this the re-issue David ? I'm tempted to buy it rather than continue my quest for a first pressing but am worried about the re-master.

The last "anniversary reissue" I bought was the Oasis Definitely Maybe but the re-master was truly awful !

Sorry, didn't see your reply until now.

Yes, it's the one that has just been released.

I can't comment on the Oasis reissue I'm afraid.

Well another glourious weekend with the record bag seeing some use along with plenty of sun. The charity shops of Havant on Saturday and a trip to Arundel today left me with,

Charity shops

New Order - Technique (cover damage hidden by price sticker but still an amazing charity shop find for £2)

Flasher - Secret in the Cupboard (no idea what this is but it was a quid and the cover opens like cupboard doors, i'm easily pleased)

A Ray of Delight in Arundel

Ramones - Road to Ruin

Herbie Hancock - Sound-System

Herbie Hancock - Sunlight
