I'm happy with my original Steve, price wasn't too bad, and it plays beautifully.

I was chuffed to bits to get Head Over Heels for a quid, as I was watching a few on eBay that were going to cost a lot more than that.

I'm looking forward to that. Any idea when it's coming out?

Oops - mean't to quote Stevebrocks's comment about the Heaven or Las Vegas 180g reissue!

Just picked up Alice in Chains - 'Dirt' today (180g brand new pressing) from my local record shop. It's a birthday preseant for my brother-in-law. He's just started out on his own vinyl quest. I'm sure he'll love it! 🙂

Just pick up on a street seller at the border between Roma and Vatican state, near my home, the first and only solo record by Alan Gorrie former guitarist bassist keyboardist and vocalist in Average White Band. This is the original 1986 USA PRESSING TOTALLY MINT, bought for 99 euro cents still unplayed!

The record even if suffer from some mid eightis arrangements have his moments and it is a steal for that price considering it is pretty much rare.

Finally received my latest batch of vinyl yesterday. Out of eight discs, there were two red, one green, one blue and one half green/half red. Vinyl ain't half getting gimicky these days. Still, so far the sound quality (and music) are pretty good.

One of them was the Parlophone release of Sigur Rós's Hvarf/Heim which was released for Record Store Day last year. The sound quality is *so* much better than that on the US release from XL recordings, which I had to return a few weeks ago. What a relief, because I really love this LP and am so pleased to have it on vinyl.

Also, I got:

Cloud Boat – Model of You LP
Eagulls – Eagulls LP
Anna Calvi – Strange Weather EP
Hockeysmith – But Blood EP
Colin Potter – Two Nights LP
Haunted House – Lost in a Forest 7" (a new collaboration between Lianne Hall and Paul Hartnoll from Orbital)

Original mono 1st pressing for £1

and for a further pound.
