Just ordered The Breeders - Pod original 4AD release.

Nice.

BBB I think you like your live music, if so, based on the above The Throwing Muses with 'Special Guest' Tanya Donelly are touring in September. Think she is opening, but may join them. Wish I could go but up in Scotland then, although we are there for the a Ryder Cup!

One of Steve Albini's better jobs, Happiness is a Warm Gun is a great cut on it. Enjoy. :)

Nice selection of some classics there. New or 2nd hand?

Sorry Jimbo, only just spotted your post.

EBTG was bought ata car boot for 50p, Cocteau's is original on eBay, same for Pixies.

Pixies arrived today, in less than the described excellent condition, so it'll either be going back, or I'll be asking for some money back. |(

I love the whole album, though side one is the better side.

On further inspection, it's definitely going back for a refund.

Not good. Don't like eBay for records as find it is often overpriced and not in described condition. Much prefer Discogs.

Glad the other two are good though

Too early to speak for Cocteau's, as it was only posted today, but EBTG sounds good.

Update on the Pixies LP. I complained to the eBay seller, and he immediately refunded both postage and record price, so as disappointed as I was, it's now a free record, and after a good clean, it plays through pretty well with just a few pops.

Touch wood but the last few LPs I've bought off Ebay have been "as described" conditionwise, no complaints. It's not always been the case though.

Following on from another thread I've just bought something off Discogs for the first time, just waiting for it to arrive and see if it's OK. I've been looking for a Liberty Records copy of The Groundhogs' Thank Christ For The Bomb to replace my old and knackered copy, but the prices they've been goling for on Ebay have been ridiculous.

I've had good and bad experiences of both Discogs and eBay.

Just sat back to listen to my new purchase of The Doors - Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine. To my horror, track 1 side 1 skips. Upon further examination, track 6 side 1 is scratched!

Back to the retailer it goes :wall:

I've only just ordered it Steve, so it hasn't arrived yet. They said it would be posted today, and it is being sent 1st class, so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

But, when I'll play it (with the World Cup starting), is anyone's guess. :)

Have just placed an order for the new Cloud Boat album, Model of You. Hope it's at least as good as the previous one. Also included the Eagulls LP for a bit of new noise, see how I get on with it, an old Jon Hopkins LP, Insides, as I adore Immunity, and a new-old Colin Potter LP, Two Nights (an old album, first time on vinyl). Check it out, it's green and blue vinyl and the cover has die-cuts to let the colour of the vinyl shine through. I'm not keen on coloured vinyl or novelty pressings in general, but I rather like the design of that. Hope the audio lives up to the visual.

I want "Live Rust", but I'm being patient, waiting for a decent priced copy, so I bought this in the hope that it's a decent live album.
