Yes, Mark Knopfler is on the Bob LP. For the record, he's even more in evidence on Bob's Infidels LP. For me, a much better album all round.

We're moving house at the weekend and i had strict instructions to just drop some stuff off at the charity shop and come back with nothing new.

I made it out of the charity shop completly unburdoned... however I then made a quick stop at the record shop. Only 3 though so that's a positive, i'll just sneak them in with rest of the collection and the missus will never know.

Anyway i picked up

The Beautiful South - Welcome to the Beautiful South

The Vapors - Magnets

Beastie Boys - Licence to Ill

All in pretty good condition, happy days.

Went to Fopp (Nottingham) and came out with , Revolver , Sgt Pepper , Yellow Submarine , Abbey Road and Past Masters , wanted Magical Mystery Tour but they didn't have a copy , on the whole i'm impressed with the Beatles re-masters on vinyl , Tomorrow Never Knows sounds nice and detailed with a nice bit of low end.

Is Fopp and independant shop? Where is it in Notts? I have been using Music Exchaange on Stoney St - good choice in there

Fopp were indie until a few years ago and were taken over by HMV.

If you know Nottingham and the council building in the market sqaure to the left of that theres a newsagent called Arden News , fopp is just up that street on the same side or if you ask anyone where the main post office is, its on that street.

When they took over old Music Zone sites they were briefly the 3rd biggest entertainment retailer in the county. I say briefly because it didn't last long before they to were in administration. There's 7 or so left operating as part of HMV

A true cross-section of the most popular titles in most charity shops, in my experience.

A good price compared to the eBay-aware charity shop prices.

That's what I thought. A few of them I have been trawling ebay for and have saved a few quid as a result. Picked up a few Jean Michel Jarre lps ftom the same boot sale a few weeks ago also. Am slowly managed to supliment the vinyl I bought first time round from mid 80s to early 90s.
