Hello everyone! I’ve recently been looking into high-end DAC brands and came across DENAFRIPS, which seems to have a strong reputation in the audiophile community, especially their Terminator Plus model.
I’m not too familiar with the brand and would love to hear from anyone who has used DENAFRIPS products, particularly the Terminator Plus. How does the sound quality compare in real-world use? Is it worth the investment?
Also, how do other models (like the Ares II or Pontus II) perform? Would love to hear your experiences and insights.
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!

The two biggest R2R juggernauts are of Denafrips and Holo. Gustard has also stepped into the arena.
Tarrant from British Audiophile is Denafrips junkie but worth listening to his videos.

I think Topping's Centaurus Full Balanced R2R DAC is going to raffle some feathers. This is a collaboration between Holo and Topping. This love child costs a £999, relatively speaking :) Denafrips Terminator Plus = £5k

Audio Science reviewer not a big fan of R2R technology suggests you save money and get the Centaurus

Also consider non-R2R alternative like the Laiv Harmony, which surpasses the quality of many £10K DACs, check out Steve Huffs review below.

Nice to have these options in the DAC world, no one can definitively say one is better than the other. If you like the warmth of analogue, subjectively you may prefer the sound of R2R, if it's all about the science, right ....er.... put those cables away, you may prefer your AKM or ESS Sigma chipsets.
