79 strand and adhesive backed but does that cable thickness mean it's less effective over long runs? Sorry to go on but this cable thing is quite confusing!

That's 0.14 per strand. For 79 strands that is 1.25mm sq, or half the cross sectional area (CSA) of the TLC cable I recommended.

Doesn't have to be TLC, but for 16m I would recommend 2.5mm sq CSA.

I agree I would get at least 2.5mm, for over 10m runs I would get 4mm.

Thanks for advice , that TLC speaker cable did the the job + was thin enough to make it easy to hide!
