for an instant speaker cable test check this idea out as described in the video. connect your amplifier to your speakers using two different designs of speaker cable.
they could be woven (kimber) design on one side and a ribbon design (nordost) on the other or, as described in the video, a multi strand design (qed 79 strand ?) and a solid core (audioquest ?) product on the other.
then play a mono signal and toggle back and forth with the amplifiers balance control to assess the differences.
