I keep getting dropouts and lost connections with my mac book pro with capitan OS over AirPlay on my Denon x4100. My iPhone and iPad work ok, just the Mac book causing issues. I've read on many a forum that the fix is to switch off Bluetooth on the Mac, however, this doesn't fix it for me. I've tried rebooting my router, receiver, Mac book and it sometimes works, but then just stops. I'm on the latest firmware on my x4100 and software on Mac. Any body else having these problems and is there a fix?

I would change the WiFi channel to one that isn't used by other networks. Sometimes WiFi interference can cause dropouts.

I use this tool: https://istumbler.net for locating empty channels. Where we live now, this isn't a problem. But when we lived in Amsterdam, there were over 20 WiFi networks in our neighbourhood and things improved dramatically when I switched the network to channel 2. Not other network used that.

I have wifi issues too, probably also because of congested airwaves. I was quite tempted by that iStumbler til I saw it cost $25. ****** that! I'll switch channels a few times manually, there's only 15 to go at. I'm poor, but patient
