Well my trusty Toshiba Picture Frame CRT 36" TV has finally given up the ghost and its now time to invest in a new TV. I am bit of a novice when it comes to the latest TVs, therefore any recommendations are welcome within my guidelines below:

Budget: £2000

Plasma/ LCD: Plasma

Size: Max: 42-43"
A couple of addition questions:

1. Is Full HD worth waiting for ? or should I take the plunge with an HD Ready (we sit about 8ft from the TV currently - if that makes a difference ?)

2. I live in Berkshire, any ideas on where I can go to see the latest TVs in action (preferably a specialist retailer and not a Dixons or Currys !).

Thanks in advance.

Supertest out tomorrow.

Saw a post on here that led me to beleive the pioneer 428 came out on top. Should just scape one with your budget if you shop around. Remember you need to buy a stand as well (which will bring the total cost to just under £2k)!

Thanks for the advice guys. I have just read the review of the PDP-428XD and I'm impressed. It looks like thats the route I am going to go, just need to shop around for the best deal.
