Bearing in mind I have not settled on the speakers for my Uniti2, what difference or improvement could or should I be able to hear with a NAP 200 attached? I am looking at PMC 20 series, Proac D18/20 , ATC 11 / 19 and Neat Motive 1 as possible partners.

Not too sure as never heard it with a power amplifier. I'd suggest, if the Uniti2's 100wpc is not enough then you have the wrong speakers.

70W per channel into 8Ω, 100W per channel into 4Ω. While it wont move any mountains, it certanly is powerfull enough for most domestic applications. It has a lot of noise apparently (SNR 82dB A weighted 8 ohms) but I guess when you buy Naim that is part of the appeal.

From Naim ...

Naim Uniti 2: 70W per channel into 8Ω, 100W per channel into 4Ω

Naim NAP 200: 70W/channel, 8Ω (No mention in their specs about the output into 4Ω.)

What are you actually going to gain for your extra £1925 ?

It is obvious from the build and from the specs that you get a more robust PSU and performance in lower impedance with the NAP 200. No mention of SNR though. In not so many words, you get more evil for your money.

BTW. I accidentally clicked and opened the blue prints for the Naim Death Star! *shok*

I don't know what I am going to gain, hence the question. It's come up after conversations with various dealers. I want to spend the money on speakers so just putting a toe in the water.
