Hi everyone, I am looking to get a new home cinema, I currently have the Pioneer lx-01, it's ok, but not hifi quality! Anyway, I want something that will fill a big room, with loads of bass! What would have more bass, 685 theatre or MT-30?

Max money I can spend is £2200 including receiver, stands, cables!

So what would have more bass?

The 685s will be better. If you have room for traditional sized speakers, you shouldn't really be looking at style speaker systems.

Style systems were created to solve a problem. Quality surround sound for those unable or unwilling to have large speakers dotted all around the room.

Another solution would be to use the 685 fronts and the corresponding centre (sorry, don't know the model number) but use a pair of the M1 style speakers for surround duties.

I can vouch for the PV1 as being a sub of astounding capability but it ain't cheap, this may mean the ASW610 is the one you should be listening to (this is the sub that comes with the 685 package anyway).
