How To Wire Male IEC Socket For Turntable

My record deck has an internal power cable. I wish to wire a male iec socket onto it to enable me to connect a Russ Andrews PowerKord to it. I can wire a normal electric plug with ease. However, on opening the case of the iec socket I'm struggling to identify where to connect the wires - I don' t mean Earth Neutral Live. I can't identify how to tighten the wires to the correct terminals? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd prefer that chassis type myself, but I reckon he might have one of the various cable- mount types.....

Why do you want to change to a Russ Andrews Power Chord as it will make no difference to the performance of the turntable? (You are also adding an extra stress point in the system via the connector)

I think if it were me and is wanted to replace the power cable with something 'superior ' I would be wiring it in as a direct replacement for the original, I wouldn't be introducing a socket and two types of cable into the equation
