Hi,

I recently bought a used Russ Andrews Powerkord 'standard' mains cable. Not sure how old this is but it is fitted with Kimber cable and a Wattgate 320 (not i) IEC plug. I am using this with my Marantz cd6004 CDP, but the IEC connector is quite loose and does not grip well to the socket on the CDP. My new Copperline Alpha cable with a 320i plug fiited, grips very tighly to the socket on my Nad amp. Looks like I need to fit a new 320 connector the RA cable - is this easy to do? Are any special tools required? How are the cables terminated in the plug?

Thanks for your help.

I've used a couple of the 320i IECs, they are super easy to use.

You just need a phillips screw driver for the case, strain relief and screw terminals.

Thanks for your reply. I'm quite handy at general DIY etc. so will get a new 320 ordered. What do you mean by strain relief please?

Thanks,

Richard
