white lines

for some reason my tv now displays a series of white lines in the top left hand corner of the screen running 3/4 the way across, this has only just started to happen, ive tried changing the picture format but still appears. Anyone any ideas please

You need to turn on Overscan, on the remote click Menu, Setup, Overscan set to On

I get this on some programmes, annoying really. Just on SD programmes though, not HD

This happens if the picture overscan setting is set to off. With the tv on the sky input, go into settings, set it to on and the problem should be sorted.
