Can't believe it's almost 20 years old :O

Classic late 60's West Coast pysch rock. Jimmy Page ripped off the track "Taurus" for Stairway to Heaven.
It's funny that at one point Spirit were bigger than Led Zepplin . Who has heard of them now?
I suspect Jimmy would say that he was " inspired" by the track "Taurus" to write Zepplin's most boring and over rated song "Stairway to Heaven" !
I might give my own copy of Kaptain Kopter a spin later , even though I played it just a couple of months ago and it won't really be its turn to be played again for at least another couple of months .

I'm with you there Nick. That track, along with Meatloafs "Bat Out of Hell" just irritate the hell out of me.

I've just had a wander to the record shop and bought these for a fiver:
Duran Duran - Decade
Genesis - A trick of the tail
Genesis
Michael Jackson - Bad
And for a bit of late 80's dance nostalgia:
Inner City - Paradise
Then I slow things down with:
Fank Sinatra - Songs for young lovers
Then, spurred on by Clare's thread, I bought my first Nat King Cole:
Stay as sweet as you are. I don't know if it's one of his best and I haven't listened to it yet. Anyone like it?
Not a bad haul for a fiver, eh?

I'm surprised this:
was in the £1 bin. The inner and outer sleeves are absolutely mint and the record is in great nick too. I won't comment on the songwriting yet, cos it's only my first listen, but the SQ is tip-top.
Also, it might be a slightly guilty pleasure, but seriously i'm loving this:
I bought it for view to a kill, but all the tracks are corkers.
