Picked up copies of Johnny Nash and Erasure LP's while on a trip to Whitby. Lovely lovely charity shops!

At the moment it's Slim Harpo's Baby Scratch My Back on a (1980s?) Excello repressing, A mega-heavyweight Norton label repress of The Pretty Things Singles A's & B's until 1966 and Beefheart's Safe As Milk - also on heavyweight vinyl.

Suffice to say it's all gone a bit r'n'b at home...

The Pretty Things - now that is one very underated band. I love them to bits. I've not got any vinyl but a few CD's.

I`ve only got `S.F.Sorrow` on cd which took me a few listens before it hit home but then I really enjoyed it.
Can yourself or Chris recommend any of this groups other albums?

For a starter you could take a look at this "Greatest Hits" package...

My own favourite was a late 90's release...

As you can see from the sleeve they were getting on a bit when they released this but it's a cracker, really. Features Dave Gilmour on one track too.

Shanghai Lil never used the pill, she claimed that "it just ain't natural".
Nothing else to say really

Total class LA. Great album.

As ever I'm stuck in a 70's time warp, playing this one at the moment..

(wish I had a pound for everytime I've played this over the years).

Currently listening to a double album I bought from a charity shop this morning called FM the original movie soundtrack with tracks from
Steely Dan FM obviously plus
Steve Miller
Foreigner
Tom Petty
Randy Meisner
Linda Rondstadt
Jimmy Buffett
Dan Fogelberg
Billy Joel
Eagles
Boz Scraggs
Boston
Doobie Brothers
James Taylor
Joe Walsh and
Queen.
Most of the artists I do not have anything by on vinyl so I thought I’d give it a go.
Quite enjoyed it
