might have to try some Miles Davis - what would you recommend to a newbie?

I have four albums by Miles, but I've really only ever played one, and that's "Sketches Of Spain" I absolutely love it , very soundtracky (Morricone/Spaghetti Western), and the track "Solea" will probably be the first thing I play on my new RP6.

I've also got "Kind Of Blue", "Water Babies", and "Quiet Nights", and we all know "Kind Of Blue" is a classic too.

Must get round to playing the other two sometime.

cheers....Sketches of Spain sounds very interesting, I will have to look out for it!

I only have, what is most likely, an 80s re-issue of it, but it still sounds fantastic. The way "Solea" builds just blew me away the first time I heard it, and every time since. It is quite repetitive, but if you like music in a groove, that just builds and builds, it's the absolute business. And of course, the rest of the album is great too.

Now playing on my Pro-Ject Debut:

I've tried to wait until the cartidge arrived, and I could use the RP6 for the first time, but I couldn't wait another second.

Now trying this for the very first time, though the wife is now emerging from the shower, and her fondness for jazz is quite well hidden.
