What speakers?

Hi everyone, I'm in the process of upgrading my speakers but not sure which ones would best compliment my set up. I have a nad c370 amp and a c521i nad cd player. Based on it's favourable reviews I have been looking at the Kef iQ5's but I just recently browsed a retail hi fi shop and the guy behind the counter shot them down in flames and recommended the Monitor Audio RS6. So can someone please lead me on the right path.

Well, he is right! The RS6s are quite a bit better than the iQ5s! However, the price difference is quite big! You could also try the KEF iQ5SE (more authoritive than the standard IQ5), the Wharfedale EVO2 30s or the Monitor Audio BR6s (if the RS6s are too much). And remember to demo them!
