What is the best sequence of equipment start-up?

I start my sat box (because its slow), then the amp (with source possibly already selected....), then the TV. Everything is working, except the TV "mode is not supported". Panic mode - switch things off, unplug, retry different sequence, (repeat several times) ...... and hey bingo, it works!

I still haven't figured out a leisurely, supremely confident, way to switch things on such that they all talk together and work. Eventually they do, but maybe I need to start a diary to record successful start-ups.... (life is too short....)....

Or is there another way?

BTW, Blu-Ray/DVD: no problem (yet)

My guess would be to try switching TV on first, then amp, then Sat box and see if this improves things... (just a hunch).

THats uncanny Prof, as thats the order i fire my kit up ! Saved me saying it..

Or buy an Harmony remote and let it decide for itself........

My 525 never fails me.....and all I have to do is press one button and direct it to the AV area of the room.......

Thanks, to all of you for the replies!

Tried it in this order and it works consistently.

Cheers for solving an embarassingly irritating problem for me.
