The Owl Service, The view from a hill

The Lumineers, Cleopatra... imo better than their debut album

The Owl Service - enjoyed reading it many, many years ago. As for the band - am listening as I type - quality stuff. Love "Polly on the shore" in particular even with its vinyl pops & crackles!

Didn't know about the book, sounds like a good read... my fave track is Banks of the Nile.

They have got a new album out which will be their last, but not available on Spotify or Apple Music, supposed to be very different from the norm.

Terry Reid : River

thumbs_up.gif

That is one very fine album. I've just been reading a very positive review in the latest Uncut mag about a new release of never before released material from the River sessions called The Other Side Of The River. It's very tempting, I think I may be onto Amazon shortly.

There's absolutely tons of new stuff at the moment that I've got in my Amazon basket, pay day can't come quick enough

Funnily enough it was reading Uncut that made me give 'River' a go - very cool record
