Autechre's first 3 LPs (Incunabula, Amber, Tri Repetae) reissued on vinyl arrived yesterday. Awesome, been waiting for these on vinyl for ages, especially Tri Repetae. They might sound a bit dated or even a little cheesy in context against Ae's later stuff, but much more accessible and still absolutely essential electronic music.

With it being remembrance Sunday my album of the day is Pink Floyd...the final cut.....some very poignant songs from the album include....the gunners dream,Southampton dock,the brilliant title song and if you have a later copy (cd)the powerful "when the tigers broke free"from the film version of the wall.Some of these songs even brought a tear to my 18 year old daughters eye,,,,not many artists wright songs like that these days....And as ever with floyd the production values are excellent.

Jóhann Jóhannsson - Arrival, Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

I was surprised it was already on Tidal. Comes out on CD next week. I would imagine it would be tricky to fully appreciate this soundtrack without the framework of a memory of the movie itself to hang it upon, but for me, it's a pleasing stop-gap until the movie is released on Bluray.
