Anna von Hausswolff - Ceremony.

She has a beautiful voice backed by a full church organ and electro rhythms also with rock and classical musician backing.

She is totally unique and truly fantastic!

Music like this makes life worth living.

I am just off to check my foundations I am sure the whole house was floating on a cushion of vibrating air. *shok*

David Crosby's new album 'Lighthouse', released last Friday on the Verve label. It's an intimate affair, mostly acoustic and with that gorgeous voice in fine fettle. One of the best albums of the year.

Why have we suddenly got these dreadful InRead Ads?

(As if I didn't know).

Note to Advertiser: Irritating and ingratiating, this sort of advertising makes me less likely to purchase whatever it is being peddled.

Leonard Cohen: You Want it Darker.

Beautifully recorded, melodic, hugely atmospheric and despite being very, very dark, uplifting and magnificent.

An incredible piece of work from a man approaching the end of a very long and creative career.

Pearl Jam - Back Spacer

had this sat in my cd rack for months, it still had the plastic cellophane on.

lovely early evening chill out music.

This will be getting played more often.

Agnes Obel - Citizen of Glass

One of those albums where the sounds in it are more interesting than the music, but piques your curiosity all the same. A lot of attention and time has been paid to the production fo each track with lots of different textures used. Quite a good demo album.
