My favourite is Eels, 'Beautiful Freek', I did not realise I would recognise so many tracks off the album. I think Graham Coxon is one of the best guitarists ever, but the music itself does not really grab me. My wife got a free copy of Clash magazine who featured The Enemy and compared them to Led Zeppelin and The Clash, so whats not to like there!

matthewpiano:

Great songs, lovely harmonies, and a well thought out collection.

Amen to that Matthew, I couldn't agree more - it's so much better for including selections from their various manifestations & solo recordings and indeed NY's output. Slightly strange that the album is entitled CSN!

'Almost cut my hair' is (IMO) an absolute masterpiece.

Found Spotify (Thanks you guys) so sat in my conservatory (it's raining) with the headphones on and played a few tracks I've not heard in years.
Ten Years After “Love like a man”
Steppenwolf “The Pusher”
Elton John “Ticking” My favourite Elton John track
Iron Butterfly “In a gadda da vida”
Derek and the Dominos “Nobody knows when your down and out”
Delaney and Bonnie “Comin Home”
Rush “The villa strangiato”
Lynyrd Skynyrd “Tuesday's gone” from “One more for the road” which I only had on cassette.
Must try to find my albums of these...

Now playing Barclay James Harvest “Barclay James Harvest” Matthewpiano influence

The excellent Saint Etienne; great album this, full of clever little touches, and very, very cool.

It is such a good deal. I now have 41 albums in my playlist, varying from albums I have owned in the past on vinyl or cassette such as 'The Joshua Tree', to albums just out such as the new Gomez album and albums I could not find elsewhere such as Brian Eno's Nerve Net. As broadband capacity increases and I presume the streamed bit rate rises (probably the wrong terminology, but you know what I mean) this service will just get better and better.

good work daveh!! The leftfield album is awesome demo gear. Very well produced. Song of life.............

Still up, still on Spotify. Found this as a digital remaster, the illicit pleasure that is.......................................
